A novel charity event took place in the Press Conference Room at IAAPA Expo Europe on 27 September.

Registered guests of the event had the opportunity to walk away with a bit of history from the leisure industry. The centerpiece attraction up for auction was the actual Eurosat Coaster Car from Germany’s Europa-Park.

In all, 10 other items went under the hammer including Liseberg serving up four invitations to the grand opening of its Oceana waterpark with accommodation at Liseberg Grand Curiosa Hotel.

Another intriguing offer was Mack Rides providing a factory tour of its facility,

Meanwhile, Blackpool Pleasure Beach offered two opening night tickets to Hot Ice 2024, an overnight stay at BLVD Hotel and two tickets to the park.

Also, Parque Warner gave away 10 VIP tickets to its park with VIP access to the Batman Gotham City Escape Coaster.

All the proceeds of the auction will go to the IAAPA Charity For Future Talent, IAAPA has also confirmed it will match the donations total to pass on the talent initiative.

“I am very happy that we have started efforts on this year’s Expo Europe to support the IAAPA Foundation and therefore the future of our industry,” said Peter van der Schans, IAAPA’s executive director and vice president for Europe, Middle East, and Africa region.
