PortAventura World is already in full samba beat swing thanks to its carnival season opening.

The Carnival celebrations take place for the second time in the park’s history and will continue until 17 March.

Guests will be able to enjoy the razzmatazz of shows inspired by the carnivals of Brazil and Venice, two of the most beloved festivities in the world at this time of year.

There will be several parades including Carnival Parade, Aires de Carnaval, Viva Carnaval, La Reina del Carnaval and Magic Carnaval along with street entertainment, troupes, batukadas and stilt walkers.

Opening on 9 February until January 6, 2025, PortAventura will enjoy its longest season in the parks’ history as well as opening the earliest.

“In 2024, we aim to surpass our own records,” says David García, Managing Director of PortAventura World. The park beat their record visitor numbers during 2023 with 5.5 million guests.

“That’s why we’ll be open more days than ever before, we’ll bring forward the opening time to 10 a.m., we’ve created new products such as the early and exclusive opening for our hotel guests, we’ll present new shows and we’ll expand the Dreams Village. All this, among many other surprises, so that our customers can take home unique memories,” added Garcia.
